Dinner: Northeastern Family FeastAssemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight via a transit city to Harbin, the “Paris of the East”. Upon arrival, visit the China Eastern Railway Glass Walkway (Climbing Bridge), a monument to the century-old history of the China Eastern Railway. Stroll along Chinese Baroque Street, where European façades meet local heritage, and soak in Harbin’s distinctive Eurasian charm. Explore the Zhalong Nature Reserve, one of the world’s largest reed marshes and the breeding ground for red-crowned cranes. From June to September, this is the best season for crane watching – witness the breathtaking, Red-crowned Crane Release Performance (held four times daily; subject to local schedule). From the Great Crane Observation Deck, enjoy panoramic views of the wetlands, and perhaps encounter cranes strolling gracefully nearby. Visit the pristine Erguna Wetland, one of China’s best-preserved wetlands. Key landmarks include: Beiji Monument, North Pole Square, the Northernmost Post Office, Northernmost Railway Station, Northernmost Family Home and Beiji Sandbank. Admire cross-border scenery of Russian villages across the river and visit the First Frontier Outpost of Northern Xinjiang. Send postcards stamped with the “northernmost” postmark at the Christmas Post Office. Take a river cruise along the Heilongjiang (Amur River) to enjoy border views. Stop at Birch Forest Park before arriving in Mohe. Visit the Great Fire Memorial Hall, recalling the devastating 1987 forest fire. Climb Xishan Park for views over Mohe town, and stroll through Songyuan Park, the town’s only preserved virgin forest. End with the nostalgic Mohe Ballroom, capturing the romance of the 1980s.
