Assemble at Changi Airport, onboard the international flight to Xi’an via Hong Kong*. Fly to Lhasa. Upon arrival, transfer to onboard train to Nyingchi. Enjoy the scenery along the Nyingchi Expressway. Visit Kading River (Tianfo Waterfall), a scenic area featuring waterfalls, natural rock carvings, and fresh plateau air.Note: From March 20 to April 20, the seasonal visit will be to Gala Peach Blossom Valley. Cross Sejila Pass, ring the Peace Bell, hang prayer flags, and enjoy views of Namjagbarwa Peak. Explore Lulang Forest, the “Swiss Alps of Tibet.” Visit Yani Wetland, one of Tibet’s largest river valley wetlands, for photography and ecological appreciation.

Visit Basongcuo Lake, a clear blue sacred lake, and enjoy a boat ride to Lake Island. Explore Tsozong Monastery, a Nyingma sect Tibetan Buddhist temple dating back to the Tang Dynasty. Drive along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway to Lhasa, passing through valleys, snow mountains, and Tibetan villages.Note:Basongcuo altitude ~3500m; Lhasa is higher. Move slowly, drink water, avoid alcohol, and be aware of day-night temperature differences.

Visit Tibet’s iconic Potala Palace (including audio guide) to learn about Tibetan Buddhism and the history of Tibet. Drive to Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s three sacred lakes, with turquoise waters. Continue to Karola Glacier, one of the easiest glaciers in Tibet to view up close. Thereafter, proceed to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet Complimentary Yak and Tibetan mastiff photo session

Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, one of the six major monasteries of the Gelug (Yellow Hat) school of Tibetan Buddhism. It is the largest monastery in the Tsang region and the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama. After the visit, drive back to Lhasa.

Depart for Xi’an. Visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda, then stroll through Tang Paradise in the evening.
