Today, we will be visiting Shihmen Reservoir Autumn Maple Leaves Viewing Trail which is the best spot in northern Taiwan to view Autumn maple leaves at low altitude. Thousands of maple trees turn the hills red with their leaves. Follow the trail and indulge yourself in the beautiful scenery. Next, proceed to Zhongshe Tourist Flower Market, which is the only flower market in the central region to have planted tulips successfully at a low elevation. The market sells tulips as well as other flowers like sunflowers, sage, cosmos, roses, and many others. After breakfast, make a stop at Alishan High Mountain Tea Art Center to learn about the efficacy of high mountain tea and get to taste the homemade Alishan high mountain tea. Continuing to Alishan Forest Recreation Area, you will experience the SL-31 Steam Hinoki Autumn Maple Leaves Train, passing through the Zhushan Line, which is known as the most beautiful red leaf railway in Taiwan. The train departs from Alishan Station to Duigaoyue Station (about 30 min). The renowned curved platform in Duigaoyue Station. The century-old steam locomotive with maples on both sides of the railway forms a unique scene for shutterbugs. The train continues to Zhushan Station (about 10 min). The Ogasawara Trail outside the station is listed as one of the three must-visit maple viewing spots in Taiwan. The maple trees here turn red and set off the blue sky. The scenery is breathtaking. We will stay here for about 1 hour and then set off back to Alishan Station (about 40 minutes).※The redness and yellowness of maple leaves are subject to on-site conditions. After breakfast, visit Nantou Monster Village. The entire Monster Village follows the architectural style of "pine forest nails" and is built into a Japanese-style shopping street. The Osmanthus Lane Art Village is a new creative park that was designed recently, with lots of cute shops and cafes here that you can wander through. Continue to visit Glass Mazu Temple, built with 70,000 pieces of glass, while the mountain behind the Mazu statue is made with 1400 glass pieces layered one on top of the other. Changhua Sector Garage, built in 1922, the garage is characterized by a circular platform and 12 tracks that spread at 99 degrees like a fan.
