Day 2DAY 2: LAIZHOU - MOUNT WUTAI (B, L, D)

ASA

Visit a 5A-rated scenic spot, the "Baishishan International Geological Park" at the forefront of Taihang Mountains. This includes a round-trip cable car ride. You can also explore the 1900-meter glass skywalk in the clouds (optional, additional fee of RMB 10 per person). Afterward, proceed to Xinzhou and reach Mount Wutai.

Day 3DAY 3: MOUNT WUTAI - PINGYAO (B, L, D)

Visit the 5A-rated scenic area and the leading of China's four major Buddhist mountains, the "Mount Wutai Scenic Area." Explore the Qing Dynasty royal temple "Pusading," the location of the iconic Great White Pagoda, "Tayuan Temple," the primary temple on Mount Wutai, and one of the five major Zen centers, "Xiantong Temple." Don't miss the bustling "Wuye Temple," known for its strong Buddhist presence. Afterward, continue your journey to Pingyao.

Day 4DAY 4: DATONG - LINGSHI - JIXIAN (B, L, D)

Visit a 5A-rated scenic spot, one of China's four ancient cities, an epitome of Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture, and a historical center of Chinese finance during the late Qing Dynasty, "Pingyao Ancient City." This includes an electric tram for entering and exiting the ancient city. Explore the "Pingyao Ancient City Wall," built during the Western Zhou period, featuring both military and cultural facilities. Visit the most well-preserved and largest feudal county yamen in China, "Pingyao County Government Office." Discover "Rishengchang Exchange Shop," the financial institution that connected the world during the QingDynasty. Explore "Mingqing Street," known as the Wall Street of the Qing Dynasty. Visit "Wang's Grand Courtyard," the first mansion of Chinese traditional residences and often called the Folk Forbidden City.

Day 5DAY 5: JIXIAN - HONGDONG - TAIYUAN (B, L, D)

Visit the "Hukou Waterfall," the world's largest yellow waterfall and a unique feature where the Yellow River is funneled into a pot. This includes local transportation and a view from the Shanxi side. Explore the "Feihong Pagoda" at the "Guangsheng Temple," which is the largest and most complete glazed pagoda in China. This also includes local transportation. Afterward, continue your journey to Taiyuan.

Day 6DAY 6: TAIYUAN - DAIXIAN - YINGXIAN - DATONG (B, L, D)

Visit the "Yanmenguan Pass," the first and most revered of the Nine Passes, and the first pass in China. This includes an electric tram ride. Explore the "Yingxian Wooden Pagoda," one of the world's three great pagodas, with a history that spans a thousand years.

Please note that you won't climb it.
