Drive to Korla, also known as Luntai City. Our first destination was the historic site of the Qixing (Seven-Star) Buddhist Temple. An electric shuttle brought us to the ruins, which boast a remarkable history spanning over 1,700 years. Originally constructed during the Jin Dynasty, the temple once stood as the spiritual heart of the ancient Yanqi Kingdom, serving as a key center for Buddhist worship and cultural exchange along the Silk Road.

Day 3KORLA/KUQA

Traveled to Kuqa, once the heart of the ancient Qiuci Kingdom. We first visited the Kuche Royal Palace, where visitors can glimpse the lifestyle of Uyghur nobility. The palace has housed 12 generations of local kings, and though the last prince has passed, his princess still resides there. Next, we explored the Kizil Thousand-Buddha Caves, China’s oldest Buddhist grottoes—carved 500 years before Dunhuang’s Mogao Caves. The site showcases early Buddhist art along the Silk Road. We ended the visit with a walk through the Old Alleys of Qiuci, the best-preserved historic district in Kuqa, reflecting the charm of late Qing and early Republic-era street life.

Day 4KUQA/AKSU

This morning, we traveled to Wensu Grand Canyon (with shuttle service), one of western China’s most stunning Danxia landforms and the country’s largest rock salt karst landscape. It's a rare geological marvel featuring ancient rock salt formations, unique Yardang landscapes, and massive karst erosion structures—earning it the title of a “living museum of geological evolution” in Xinjiang. Thereafter travel to Aksu.

Day 5AKSU/KASHGAR

We traveled to Kashgar, China’s westernmost city, often called the “Last Frontier of the Western Regions” and a “Living Ancient City.” At the Old City of Kashgar, we witnessed the city gate opening ceremony, a vibrant cultural experience filled with traditional Uyghur music and dance, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich heritage.

We set off for Ta County (Tashkurgan), stopping en route at Baisha Lake—a serene plateau lake at 3,400 meters above sea level, named for the white sand hills on its western shore. Next, we visited the Oytagh Glacier Park (electric shuttle included), located on the Pamir Plateau. Home to China’s lowest-altitude glaciers, it's one of the most spectacular glacier landscapes in the world. This rare destination offers close-up views of glaciers, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, waterfalls, forests, and grasslands. Lucky visitors may even witness a dramatic avalanche.

Day 7TA COUNTY/KASHGAR

We transferred to a 7-seater vehicle and set off on the Panlong Ancient Road—also known as the “Coiled Dragon Road.” Known as one of the most dramatic highland routes in China, this 75-kilometer mountain road winds through over 600 hairpin turns at an altitude of around 4,100 meters. It’s said that after traveling this road of endless curves, life feels smoother ahead. Along the way, we caught a glimpse of the rare Bandier Blue Lake—a striking glacial meltwater lake with vivid blue hues due to mineral deposits. In summer, it appears turquoise; in winter, a deep blue. Vast, pure, and breathtaking, it’s a hidden gem of the plateau. We then continued along the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway (Karakoram Highway) toward Karakul Lake, the largest lake on the Pamir Plateau, located at 3,600 meters above sea level. Nestled among towering peaks, the lake is surrounded by lush pastures and traditional Kyrgyz yurts. In summer, the fresh air, cool climate, and harmony of sky, lake, and mountains create a picture-perfect, poetic landscape—truly a jewel of the "Roof of the World."

Drive to Hotan and visited the Ancient City of Yotkan (performance included)—a cultural town blending history, tourism, commerce, and leisure. As night falls, the grand performance "Melodies of the Kingdom of Khotan" brings the entire city to life. Using real architecture as the stage, the show combines modern lighting effects with local traditions. Themes like “Ban Chao’s Expedition” and “The Silk Princess” transport visitors through a thousand years of Silk Road history. It’s an immersive, step-by-step journey into the vibrant past of the Western Regions.

Day 9HOTAN/KUQA

After breakfast, we drove along the Taklamakan Desert Highway, traversing China’s largest desert, which stretches over 1,000 kilometers east to west and 400 kilometers north to south. Known as the "Taklamakan Great Desert," it is the second-largest desert in the world, after the Sahara, and the largest moving sand desert globally. The heart of the desert is recognized as one of China's five most beautiful deserts, offering an awe-inspiring and endless expanse of sand.

Visit the Tarim River Poplar Forest Park (including electric shuttle ride). This is the largest, most densely distributed, and best-preserved “living fossil” forest from the Tertiary period in the world. It has been ranked as one of China’s Top 10 Most Beautiful Forests by Chinese National Geography. After the visit, transfer to your hotel in Korla for the night. Arrive at your hotel in Korla City.

今早乘车前往龟兹古城-库车市。参观库车王府, 一座可以让人近距离感受新疆少数民族维吾尔族王爷当年生活起居的地方,这里承载了新疆库车回王12代人的记忆。也是中国现存的最后一个王爷称号所有人的住址,虽然这位王爷已经去世,但其王妃现在依然住在王府之内。克孜尔千佛洞, 是中国最古老的石窟寺之一, 比敦煌莫高窟早开凿500年,是开凿最早、规模最大的石窟群。逛逛龟兹小巷, 是库车老城晚清和民国初期街巷格局以及风貌保存最完整的街区。

Day 6喀什/塔县

乘车前往塔县。中途游览高原平湖-布伦口白沙湖。白沙湖因湖面西侧的山上有白沙而得名,海拔3400米。在阳光的照射下,每天随着时间的变化,湖面颜色变幻莫测,奇-0妙无比。接着,前往奥依塔克冰川公园(含电瓶车),地处帕米尔高原,分布着大量的低纬度冰川,是中国海拔最低的冰川,也是世界上最为壮观的众多冰川之一, 也是中国国内少数可以近距离观赏冰川的地方, 这里集雪山、冰川、瀑布、森林、草原为一体,景色天然纯净,冰川雄伟壮观。运气好的游客还能看到雪崩的场景。

Day 7塔县/喀什

早餐后, 换乘7座商务车前往 - 盘龙古道。体验一次走完人生所有的弯道,余生尽是坦途。盘龙古道又称蟠龙古道,这是一条真正的高原天路,全部盘山公路超过600 个弯道全长75 公里,海拔约4100 米左右,黑色公路与土色山体的完美配合,再加上远处连绵的雪山,这只属于帕米尔高原。中途还可观赏难得一见的帕米尔高原上的蓝色翡翠 - 班迪尔蓝湖(车览)。湖水为冰川融水,因为特殊矿物质呈蓝色。夏季为青蓝色,冬季为深蓝色。很大、很美、很纯净;这是一次震撼、治愈、陶醉的旅行,是一次色彩的碰撞和融合。紧接着,乘车沿着中巴友谊公路(喀喇昆仑公路),驶往海拔3600米、游览具有“世界屋脊”之称的帕米尔高原上的美丽明珠 -喀拉库勒湖,是帕米尔高原上诸多湖泊中最大的一个湖泊,该湖在群山环抱之中,湖畔水草茂密牧群毡房错落,常有柯尔克孜人在此驻牧,每当夏季,这里空气清新,气候凉爽,湖光山色浑为一体,景色如诗如画。

早餐后乘车奔驰塔克拉玛干沙漠公路,整个沙漠东西长约 1000 余公里 ,南北宽约 400 多公里 ,是中国境内最大的沙漠 ,也是世界第二大沙漠 ,仅次于撒哈拉沙漠 ,故被称为“塔克拉玛干大沙漠” ,也是全世界第二大的流动沙漠 ,流沙面积世界第一。塔克拉玛干腹地被评为中国五个最美的沙漠之一。
