09:00am meet tour guide at hotel & proceed for the introduction of Iceland's exciting capital. Then, head to Borgarfjörður is known as the Saga Valley. Get a chance to climb the Grábrók volcano crater and visit Deildartunguhver, Europe's most powerful hot spring which produces 180 litres per second of water that is nearly boiling - 97° Celsius. Follow by, view the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls pouring from beneath a wide lava field. In the evening, attend a lecture about Northern Lights. At night, step into the hotel’s garden for Northern Lights hunting.

Today, drive to The Snæfellsnes Peninsula, “the peninsula of the snowy mountain“. Next, travel to the Stykkishólmur for a cruise ride in the Breiðafjörður fjord. Then, proceed to Bjarnarhöfn, where local make Hákarl - the fermented shark. If weather and road conditions permit, you may travel to Grundarfjörður fishing village for its impressive coastline, Mt. Kirkjufell and waterfalls. On the way back to Borgarnes the guide will gives you some practical tips on how to photograph the Auroras.

Day 4BORGANES - GOLDEN CIRCLE – SOUTHERN ICELAND

This morning, head to the Golden Circle route. See the steam from the Geyser Geothermal fields. Do not miss the Strokkur Geyser known as "the Churn" which erupts at 5-10 minutes intervals. Continue, enjoy stunning view of Gullfoss, a double waterfall that tumbles 34 meter into the Hvítá river. Travel inland to the Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Next, transfer to Geothermal Greenhouse to learn about the Icelandic horse, its special qualities and history.

After breakfast, drive to Eyjafjallajökull Information Center, learn about living next to a glacier and an active volcano. Continue your journey to see the Skógafoss waterfall, which is 60 meters high waterfalls. Next, take a leisure stroll on the black lava beach and along bird cliffs at Reynisfjara. Tonight overnight at Kirkjubæjarklaustur, an ideal location for Northern Lights hunting in the dark

Today travel to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon filled with floating icebergs. You can walk on the black sandy beach where large icebergs get stranded. If time and weather permit, you may join an 2.5hours optional Ice Cave Tour (available on 15 Nov – 15 Mar) in Vatnajökull National Park. Experience a 30-minute drive by 4x4 vehicle from the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and 5 to 15minutes hike on glacier and explore the spectacular crystal ice cave. In the afternoon, visit the tiny turf church at Hof. Back to hotel, a presentation of Aurora hunting is waiting for you. . Optional The Glacier Hike : Tour can only be booked with the guide on day 2 on the tour at around ISK23,000 (about EU210/person). Prices are subject to change. Payment is due with the glacier hike company on day 6 - cash only upon booking in Iceland. - The ice cave explorers meet their local guide at the glacier lagoon at 14:00 and will be brought back to the hotel after the ice cave tour, while the rest of the group continues the official tour program. The ice cave explorers will miss out on some of the official tour programs, as there is no time for everything, but the stop and visit at the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon are included for all group members. - Please prepare hiking boots, warm clothing that keeps you dry and warm. ** Not valid for child below 10 years

Take a scenic drive to the high but narrow Seljalandsfoss waterfall which plunges from the mountain. Next, return to Reykjavik, free time to explore the capital at own leisure. In the evening, travel to soak in the famous Blue Lagoon. Thereafter, go on one last nocturnal tour for Aurora hunting.
