Day 1SINGAPORE ✈ HANEDA / NARITA

Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport and begin your holiday with a pleasant flight to Japan.Note: In the event of morning flight, passengers will stay the night at Narita and enjoy an additional breakfast.

Day 2HANEDA / NARITA – GUNMA - NIIGATA

Upon arrival, meet and greet by local representative and drive towards Gunma. Marvel the famous Ueno Sky Bridge that extends over the verdant natural landscape is a suspension bridge built to a massive scale. A beautiful forest and ravine spreads out from under your eyes, and you can walk through the air while enjoying the magnificence of nature. Next, proceed to Byakue Dai-Kannon. This is the statue of Goddess of Mercy with the height of 41.8 meters and weight of 6,000 tons. Since it was built in 1936, the statue is loved by the citizens as the symbol of Takasaki. You can walk inside the statue up to the height of its shoulder. Thereafter, visit the Niigata Furusato Village, a multi-purpose tourism facility comprised primarily of the “Bazaar Hall” with its collection of Niigata’s products and delicacies, and the “Appeal Hall” with its introduction of Niigata’s history, culture, and tourist spots. Its various events are also quite popular. There are also 60,000 tulips in bloom.

Day 3NIIGATA – SADOJIMA

This morning, enjoy a ferry ride to Sadojima. Next, hop on and experience wooden tub-shaped boats, that were originally used for collecting seaweed, shellfish and other things from the waters around Ogi. Proceed to the Senkaku-wan Bay Ageshima Park , a sightseeing attraction on Sado Island in Niigata. The park you can enjoy the glorious scenery of the Senkaku-wan Bay from the Ageshima Observatory and the Yusenkyo Bridge. You can also visit the Ageshima Aquarium to see coastal fish up close. From mid-March to late November the park also operates glass boats that you can ride out into the bay to see the underwater scenery as well. Next, visit Kinzan Gold Mine. During the Edo period, it was one of the most productive gold mines in Japan. Between 1601 and 1989 (when people stopped mining on Sado Island), 78 tons of gold and 2,330 tons of silver were produced. The mine also produced small amounts of bronze.

Day 4SADOJIMA – NIIGATA – YAMAGATA / TENDO

Begin the day with a tour, we will depart from Port of Sadojima and head towards Niigata. Proceed to Mt Zao — a volcanic mountain range on the prefectural border between Yamagata and Miyagi Prefectures. Enjoy yourself discovering Nature’s varied as you proceed to the breathtaking mountain park. Continue to Zao Onsen, known for its high acidity and it is said that a dip in its waters can heal skin conditions and gastrointestinal disorders. Next, proceed to Yamadera Temple is a scenic located in the mountains northeast of Yamagata City. The temple was founded over a thousand years ago in 860.

Day 5YAMAGATA / TENDO - SAKATA- AKITA

Today, proceed to Tendo Fruitland for fruit-picking (seasonal). Next, proceed to Kamo Aquarium, the only aquarium in Yamagata. It has the world’s largest collection of jellyfishes on display (over 30 kinds), which offers a soothing spectacle to viewers as they consisted of many colors floating around in the water. Depart for beautiful Sakata City and visit the Mountain House warehouse. This rice warehouse building has been standing tall for 100 years in Sakata City.The location where the warehouse is situated – Shonai, Sakata – isknown to be one of the most arable lands for growing grain in Japan! The ancient building is built with wooden exteriors and thick grassy roofs. Thick and very lush green trees protect the exteriors of the buildings. Enjoy the Maiko Dance Show, where you can observe apprentice geishas perform songs, dances, and play the shamisen with you.

Day 6AKITA - TOWADA

After breakfast, proceed to Seitai Hoshikai, a catholic church housed in a Japanese-style building akin to temples and shrines. Set in a semi-rural area with tranquil gardens, the church is most famous for its crying statue, Our Lady of Akita. Tears were found coming out of the statue’s eyes one day in 1975, a phenomenon that continued intermittently over the next few years. Take a stroll around the charming streets of Kakunodate this morning and get engulf in the atmosphere of this former castle town and samurai stronghold. Built with two distinct areas, the samurai district and merchant districts, the town has not changed much since its founding in 1620. The samurai district once consisted of about 80 families still have some of the best examples of samurai architecture in Japan. Next, make a stop at Lake Tazawa, Japan’s deepest lake at a depth of 423.4m. The scenic caldera lake retain its natural and rustic atmosphere. Flowing along the floor of the Oirase Gorge, the Oirase River winds through a pristine forest made up of towering white cedar, Japanese beech and maple trees. Take your time to stroll (4.2km walk) through the forested paths and bask in the fresh air, lovely greens of the foliage and the clear river water as you follow the river round its bends.

Day 7TOWADA - AOMORI

Today, visit to the Hirosaki Castle. First constructed in 1611, the main castle is one of the few in Japan that has not been rebuilt in the recent era. Adjacent to the castle keep is the Hirosaki Park. Next, visit th e Nebuta Museum, a facility that introduces the history and charms of the Aomori Nebuta Festival. At the Museum youcan experience every aspect of the festival. Continue to the ASPAM – a triangle-shaped building after the image of the letter “A” from “Aomori” and is a landmark of Aomori. It is a 76-meter (249 feet) tall building with 15 floors, and is the central facility for local information about Aomori.

Day 3新泻 - 佐渡岛

Day 5山形/天童 - 酒田 - 秋田

Immigration procedures require all tourists to possess a passport with minimum 6 months validity from the day of departure. Singapore passport do not require a visa to Japan. For foreign passport, please ensure relevant visa is applied should you need one. It is necessary to bring along re-entry permit or air ticket to country of origin for passenger not holding Singapore passport. It is advisable to keep separately a photocopy of your travel document.
