Prepare yourselves for a journey into the pristine beauty of the Canadian Rockies with a short hike to arrive at our first stop Bridal Veils Provincial Park before continuing to bypass the country music capital of Canada - Meritt. Onwards to Kelowna, the heart of the Okanagan Valley, and stop by a local winery to learn about the basics of wine making and you may wish to taste and purchase the popular ice, red or white wine (at own expense). Take a walk around Lake Okanagan where monster watchers claimed sightings of Ogopogo and continue to our hotel in Vernon for overnight situated amongst lakes, valleys, mountains and streams.

Day 3VERNON – LAST SPIKE – EAGLE PASS – REVELSTOKE - ROGER’S PASS – GLACIER NATIONAL PARK - GOLDEN – YOHO NATIONAL PARK - BANFF (B/L)
This morning, visit the Last Spike - final and ceremonial spike which marked the completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway in the year 1885. Enroute, make a stop at D Dutchmen Dairy for some old-fashioned, hand-made dairy products (own expense) produced locally and deemed to be “BC’s Best Ice Cream”. Travel via the Eagle Pass towards Revelstoke and via Roger’s Pass in Glacier National Park to Golden before making a slight detour at Yoho National Park to Natural Bridge and Emerald Lake. Finally, arrive at the breathtakingly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Banff National Park filled with majestic mountains, glaciers, forests, and pristine lakes. Enjoy a photostop by the spectacular Surprise Corner viewpoint at Bow Lake before elevating your experience on the Banff Gondola and remembering this panaromic view of a lifetime.

Day 4BANFF – JASPER NATIONAL PARK - LAKE LOUISE
Depart to UNESCO World Heritage site Lake Louise often referred to as the “Jewel of the Rockies.” The panoramic view of magnificent snow-capped mountains surrounding the emerald colour of the lake attracts millions of visitors worldwide. Enroute, enjoy beautiful vistas of Peyto Lake along the way and arrive in the Columbia Icefield at Jasper National Park. On a clear day, you may be able to view the prominent Mount Robson - highest point in the Canadian Rockies. Ride on the massive Snow Coach onto the Athabasca Glacier and partake on a thrilling walk on the Glacier Skywalk for an eye-opening look of ice-capped mountain peaks and vast glacier-formed valleys. Indulge in a hearty breakfast this morning and head for Moraine Lake “where the waters seem like they have been poured straight from the heavens into the Valley of the Ten Peaks, towering mountains encircle the deep blue surface of the lake in a formation so extraordinary only Mother Nature could shape it and piles of boulders seemingly dropped by the hands of giants, forming miniature mountains near the lakeshore.” In the afternoon, arrive in the beautiful town of Kamloops - a city with over 2000 hours of sunshine per year for our overnight this evening.

This morning, partake on a Ginseng Factory Tour and learn about the history, value, benefits and usages of North American ginseng. Upon arriving back in Vancouver, proceed to Granville Island Public Market - this large sandbar and former industrial site is now a posh, artsy neighborhood where you can get fresh produce, gourmet food, and artisanal handicrafts. If time permits, you may wish to partake on an optional seaplane ride to admire the panaroma from the sky.

Arrive Juneau the capital city of Alaska State and one of the most popular cruise ports in all of Alaska. Known for the discovery of gold nuggets in the 1880s, Joe Juneau further discovered three of the largest gold mines in the world and by the end of World War II, more than $150 million in gold had been mined. Here, you may wish to participate in an optional shore excursion to one of the most beautiful Mendenhall Glacier or simply partake in an optional shore excursion to Underground Mine and Gold Panning exploration.

Skagway was the gateway to the gold fields for the thousands who flocked to Alaska and the Yukon with the hope of striking it rich. The gold rush was a boom and by 1898, Skagway was Alaska’s largest town with a population of about 20,000. Here, you may wish to participate in an optional shore excursion to the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad - The “Scenic Railway of the World” which links Skagway with Yukon Canada for an epic 27-mile journey past breathtaking waterfalls, mountains and glaciers.

Ketchikan is known as Alaska’s “First City” because it’s the first major community travelers come to as they journey north. Located on an island, Ketchikan began life as an Indian fishing camp and got its name from a Tlingit phrase that means “eagle with spread-out wings,” a reference to a waterfall near town. Visitors to Ketchikan will be intrigued by its rich Native heritage, which includes the world’s oldest collection of totem poles at Totem Heritage Center.
